SIMPLEX MATHS TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to subscriptions and services provided by Simplex Maths LLP (“Simplex Maths”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By purchasing or using a Simplex Maths subscription, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before subscribing.

1. About Simplex Maths

Simplex Maths provides online GCSE Mathematics learning and exam-practice resources.

Depending on the subscription selected, these may include printable worksheets, examination questions, official mark schemes, worked or video solutions, examiner guidance, marking and personalised feedback.

The features included with each subscription are described on our website at the time of purchase.

Simplex Maths is intended to support GCSE Mathematics study and examination preparation. We cannot guarantee any particular examination grade, result or level of academic progress.

2. Subscription options

Simplex Maths offers three subscription types:

Basic
Access to the resources described as included within our Free subscription.

Standard
Includes the resources described as included within our Standard subscription, including step-by-step video solutions and expert examiner advice.

Premium
Includes the resources described as included within our Premium subscription, together with weekly marking and personalised feedback from experienced GCSE Mathematics examiners.

Different subscription levels are available according to the mathematical complexity of the questions.

Customers are responsible for selecting the subscription type and level they consider appropriate. Guidance is provided on our website to help with this choice.

3. Subscription availability

Simplex Maths subscriptions will be available from 1 October 2026.

Access to a paid subscription will normally begin as soon as the subscription has been successfully purchased and payment has been processed.

Some resources are released according to our monthly worksheet and weekly submission schedules and will therefore not necessarily be available immediately when a subscription begins.

4. Subscription prices

Simplex Maths offers Basic, Standard and Premium subscriptions.

The Basic subscription is available free of charge.

The standard monthly prices for our paid subscriptions are:

  • Standard: £10 per month

  • Premium: £20 per month

We are currently offering an introductory discount for new paid subscriptions started on or before 31 December 2026.

Under this offer, customers receive 50% off the first monthly payment. This means the first payment is £5 for Standard or £10 for Premium.

The introductory discount is applied automatically at checkout. No discount code is required.

After the first month, the subscription automatically renews at the applicable standard monthly price of £10 per month for Standard or £20 per month for Premium, unless cancelled before the next payment date.

The introductory discount applies to the first month only and does not reduce subsequent monthly subscription payments.

5. Monthly billing and automatic renewal

Standard and Premium are recurring monthly subscriptions.

Each subscription has its own individual monthly billing period, beginning on the date the paid subscription starts.

Unless cancelled, your subscription will automatically renew each month on your individual renewal date and the applicable subscription fee will be charged using your chosen payment method.

By purchasing a paid subscription, you authorise Simplex Maths or our payment provider to collect recurring monthly payments until the subscription is cancelled.

The recurring nature of the subscription, the applicable price and the change from introductory to standard pricing will be made clear before purchase.

6. Introductory offer

Customers who start a new Standard or Premium subscription on or before 31 December 2026 will receive 50% off their first monthly payment.

The discount is automatically applied at checkout and applies to the first payment only.

After the first month:

Standard renews at £10 per month, and
Premium renews at £20 per month.

The subscription will continue to renew automatically at the applicable standard monthly price on the customer's individual renewal date unless it is cancelled.

Customers who do not wish to make the first full-price payment must cancel their subscription before their next payment date.

The introductory offer is currently scheduled to end at 11:59pm on 31 December 2026. Subscriptions started after that time will be charged at the applicable standard price unless another offer is available.

Simplex Maths may withdraw or amend the introductory offer before its scheduled end date where permitted by law, but doing so will not retrospectively remove a discount already applied to a subscription.

7. Cancelling your subscription

You may cancel a paid subscription at any time.

There is no cancellation fee.

Cancellation prevents the subscription from renewing at the next payment date.

Unless a statutory cancellation or refund right applies, cancelling your subscription does not normally result in a refund for a billing period that has already been paid for.

You will continue to have access to your subscription until the end of your current paid billing period. Your access will then end and no further subscription payments will be taken.

For example, if your subscription renews on the 12th of each month and you cancel on 20 October, you will normally retain access until immediately before your next renewal would otherwise have been taken on 12 November.

Subscriptions can be cancelled using the subscription-management options provided on our website or by contacting us using the contact details provided on our website.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory cancellation or refund rights.

8. Changing your Simplex level

We understand that a student may find that another Simplex level is more appropriate after beginning their subscription.

If you ask to change level within 14 days of your most recent subscription payment, we will normally cancel your existing subscription and provide a discount code towards the appropriate replacement subscription so that you do not have to pay the full subscription price twice for substantially the same billing period.

The value and expiry date of any discount code will be provided when it is issued.

If more than 14 days have passed since your most recent payment, a new subscription will normally need to be purchased if you wish to change level immediately.

Alternatively, you may cancel your existing subscription, continue using it until the end of the billing period already paid for, and begin the new level afterwards.

This level-change arrangement is an additional Simplex Maths policy and does not replace or restrict any statutory cancellation or refund rights.

9. Changing subscription type

If you wish to change between Standard and Premium, or otherwise change your subscription type, you may do so subject to the same principles as a level change.

Where you request a change within 14 days of your most recent subscription payment, we will normally cancel the existing subscription and provide an appropriate discount code towards the replacement subscription.

Where more than 14 days have passed since your most recent payment, the replacement subscription will normally need to be purchased separately if you want access to it immediately.

Alternatively, you may cancel your current subscription, allow it to continue until the end of the paid billing period, and begin the replacement subscription afterwards.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

10. Multiple subscriptions

You may hold more than one Simplex Maths subscription at the same time.

This may be useful where a household has more than one student or where access to more than one level is required.

Each paid subscription is charged separately unless we expressly state otherwise.

Customers are responsible for checking which subscriptions are active before purchasing additional subscriptions.

11. Statutory cancellation rights and immediate access

When you purchase a subscription online, you may have a statutory right to cancel the contract within 14 days.

Simplex Maths subscriptions provide access to digital educational content. Premium subscriptions also include a marking and personalised feedback service.

Where you request access to digital content immediately, rather than waiting until the end of the statutory cancellation period, we will ask you to expressly consent to the supply of that digital content beginning immediately and to acknowledge that, once supply begins, you may lose your statutory right to cancel in respect of that digital content, to the extent provided by law.

Where your Premium subscription includes marking and personalised feedback and you request that this service begins during the statutory cancellation period, different rules may apply. If you exercise a statutory right to cancel after the service has begun, we may be entitled to charge a proportionate amount for services already provided where permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts your statutory rights, including your rights where digital content or services are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet the standards required by law.

Current UK rules distinguish between services begun during the cancellation period and digital content supplied immediately. For digital content, express consent and acknowledgement are required before the right to cancel is lost; for services started at the consumer's express request, proportionate payment can apply if the consumer cancels after performance has begun.

12. Refunds

Except where required by law or expressly provided for in these Terms, subscription payments are normally non-refundable once the relevant paid billing period has begun and access has been provided.

We may choose to provide a refund, credit or discount code in exceptional circumstances.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

13. Accounts and permitted use

Simplex Maths subscriptions and resources are provided for the personal educational use of the student or household for whom the subscription was purchased.

Unless we have expressly agreed otherwise, you must not:

  • share paid account login details outside your household;

  • reproduce or distribute Simplex Maths resources to other students or households;

  • upload paid resources to websites, social-media groups, file-sharing services or other public or private distribution services;

  • sell, sublicense or commercially distribute our resources;

  • use a personal subscription to provide resources to groups of tuition students, classes or schools; or

  • systematically copy, download or reproduce substantial parts of the Simplex Maths resource library.

You may download and print worksheets and other downloadable resources as reasonably necessary for the personal educational use of the subscribed student.

Separate arrangements or licences may apply to schools, tutors or other organisations.

14. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the Simplex Maths name, branding, website, original explanations, worked solutions, videos, feedback, graphics and other original materials are owned by or licensed to Simplex Maths LLP and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Examination questions, mark schemes, examination-board trade marks and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners where applicable.

The inclusion of examination-board materials does not imply that Simplex Maths is endorsed, approved or sponsored by the relevant examination board unless expressly stated.

15. Premium marking and personalised feedback

An active Premium subscription includes the opportunity to submit one designated Simplex Maths worksheet per week for marking and personalised feedback from an experienced GCSE Mathematics examiner.

Each week, Simplex Maths will specify the worksheet that is eligible for submission and the dates during which it can be submitted.

The same weekly submission window and designated worksheet apply to all Premium subscribers at the relevant Simplex level.

The Premium submission page is available only to customers with an active Premium subscription.

If you begin a Premium subscription partway through a calendar month, you will have access to the submission window that is open at the time your Premium subscription begins and to subsequent weekly submission windows while your Premium subscription remains active.

This means that, regardless of when during a month you subscribe, you will have the opportunity to submit the designated worksheet during each weekly submission window available while your Premium subscription is active.

Worksheets whose submission windows ended before your Premium subscription began cannot be submitted retrospectively for marking.

A worksheet must be submitted within its designated submission window.

If you do not submit the designated worksheet during that window, the unused marking opportunity does not roll over, accumulate or transfer to another week.

The submission calendar will identify the worksheet eligible for marking and its submission dates.

Work must be submitted in accordance with the submission instructions provided by Simplex Maths. We may ask you to resubmit work that is incomplete, illegible or supplied in a format that prevents it from being marked reasonably.

Marking and personalised feedback are provided for educational purposes. Although marking is carried out by experienced GCSE Mathematics examiners and we aim to apply relevant examination-board marking principles accurately, Simplex Maths marking is not an official examination-board result and may differ from the mark awarded in a live examination.

16. Worksheet availability and submission windows

Simplex Maths worksheets are released monthly.

The worksheets for each calendar month will normally become available on the 1st day of that month.

Worksheets from the previous calendar month will remain available until the first Monday of the following month.

This is to ensure that the final worksheet of the previous month remains accessible for its full one-week Premium submission window.

After the first Monday of the following month, worksheets from the previous month may be removed from subscriber access.

Subscribers are responsible for accessing or downloading worksheets while they are available.

Worksheet availability and Premium marking eligibility are separate.

A worksheet being available to view or download does not necessarily mean that it is currently eligible for Premium marking.

Premium marking operates according to the Simplex Maths submission calendar. One designated worksheet is available for submission each week and must be submitted within its specified submission window.

17. Changes to resources and the service

We may update, improve, correct, replace or withdraw individual worksheets, videos, solutions or other resources where reasonably necessary.

We may also make reasonable changes to the operation of Simplex Maths in order to improve the service, correct errors, maintain security or respond to changes in examination specifications, examination-board materials, technology or applicable law.

We will not intentionally make material changes that unfairly deprive existing paid subscribers of the main service they purchased.

Where a material adverse change affects an existing paid subscription, we will provide any notice, cancellation or refund rights required by law.

18. Future price changes

Simplex Maths may change its subscription prices from time to time.

The current standard subscription prices are £10 per month for Standard and £20 per month for Premium.

The 50% introductory discount described in Section 6 is a temporary promotional offer applying to the first monthly payment only. The end of that discount and the subsequent renewal at the standard monthly price do not constitute a price increase, as the standard renewal price is disclosed when the subscription is purchased.

If we change the standard recurring price of an existing paid subscription in the future, we will provide affected subscribers with appropriate advance notice before the new price takes effect.

Where required, we will also explain when the new price will apply and what action a subscriber may take if they do not wish to continue at the new price.

Nothing in this section affects any rights customers have under applicable consumer law.

19. Availability and technical interruptions

We aim to make Simplex Maths and its resources reliably available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times.

Access may occasionally be affected by maintenance, technical problems, third-party services, internet availability, security issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where a significant interruption prevents us from providing a paid service, we will provide any remedy required by applicable consumer law.

20. Suspension or termination of accounts

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe that:

  • a subscription is being used fraudulently;

  • account details are being shared in breach of these Terms;

  • paid resources are being copied, sold or redistributed without permission;

  • payment has failed, been reversed or otherwise remains unpaid; or

  • there has been another material breach of these Terms.

Where appropriate, we will give the customer a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue before terminating access.

Nothing in this section affects either party's statutory rights.

21. Educational disclaimer

Simplex Maths is an independent educational service.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Simplex Maths is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR or any other examination board.

Examination specifications, assessment arrangements, question styles and other examination requirements may change.

Students should ensure that they understand the requirements of their own examination board and qualification.

Simplex Maths resources, marking and feedback are intended to support learning and examination preparation. We cannot guarantee any particular examination grade or outcome.

22. Our liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so or excludes any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

Simplex Maths is not responsible for a student's examination result or for decisions made solely on the basis of our educational resources, marking or feedback.

Our services are intended to supplement, rather than replace, appropriate teaching, revision and examination guidance.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights in relation to digital content or services that are faulty, not as described or not supplied with the standard required by law.

UK consumer contracts cannot exclude statutory consumer rights or rely on unfair terms simply because those terms appear in the contract.

23. Children and account holders

Simplex Maths resources are intended for GCSE students, many of whom will be under 18.

Where appropriate, subscriptions should be purchased and managed by a parent, guardian or other responsible adult.

The person purchasing a paid subscription is responsible for providing accurate account and payment information and for managing that subscription.

Where a student's work is submitted for Premium marking, it will be processed for the purpose of providing marking and personalised educational feedback and otherwise in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

24. Privacy and personal information

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and stored, and the rights individuals have in relation to their personal information.

Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy or cookie information provided on our website.

25. Complaints and contacting us

If you experience a problem with your subscription, payment, account, resources, marking or feedback, please contact us.

We will aim to investigate and resolve complaints fairly and within a reasonable period.

26. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary, including where our services or applicable laws and regulations change.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that a customer has already acquired.

Where a change materially affects an existing paid subscription, we will provide reasonable notice where required by law.

The version of these Terms currently in force will be available on our website.

27. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory consumer protections and rights available to you under the laws applicable to you.
